Week 1:

What a week! With the first week’s readings all done I finished off my step 1 for assignment 1 and now ready to begin the next steps.

Week 2:

Well this week we all found out our companies and mine is. Keller UK, Keller UK are a construction company in which specialises in geotechnical solutions. I had never heard of this company before Friday but I am reading to explore the different aspects they deal with. Keller UK have awards in health and safety for RoSPA in 2019 and from this prides them-selves on their high quality management of health and safety.

I will admit some terms they are using were alien to me, but nothing a quick search can’t fix! If anyone has any experience with the company as they have offices in Australia or know anyone that works there, please feel more than free to leave a comment, I need all the help I can get.

Studiosity, my Saving Grace

I have always considered many aspects of English as my weakest, especially when it comes to fluent writing. According to my friends and teachers I tend to get too off topic and I am not a to-a-point writer. Which is ridiculous I never lose the point or go off on a parade due to letting my emotions take over my writing. Opps, did it again.

Like many others would have I looked at the Studiosity section and though “do I really have to do this.” But come Sunday week 2 I decided I should send a (rough) draft to the team.

To begin with I was surprised by how quickly my draft was returned. But I was also surprised by the level of detail and explanation behind my draft and the edits recommended to myself through Roxanne, my reviewer. I was amazed at her level of clarity in the way in which she communicated the edits.

Wow, that was an effort. But finally my draft is complete for assignment steps 3-5. I hope you can take the time to read it and give some helpful feedback.

Baby Re-instating financial statements Da-da-da-da

I couldn’t even escape them in week 4’s readings

Oh I know, it is not nearly as catching as the song. But come chapter 4 I was ready, notetaking and eating Tim Tams like the addicted Tim Tam eater I was. Then I saw them, swimming off the page and coming straight for me. Alas, that bold title was repeated in my mind three times as I imagined the words eating my alive (just like a Kinder surprise). You see, I had read through the financial sheet and had discovered reinstating was going to be a 12-hour process. I had been terrified by the concept that this step would take me around the same amount of time as it took to complete half of assignment 1. However, after reading the different sections for each statement I did feel a little better about the process. I do like how it was incorporated as I do believe it is something we need to spread out, and start thinking about beginning in these weeks.
